If correcting your child makes you feel guilty… you’re not alone

So many loving parents hesitate in the early years.
We don’t want to be harsh.
We can be easily swayed by their emotions.
We avoid the anticipated resistance.
And sometimes, we're just tired 🙃

So, we let it slide.

But Scripture reminds us 💛

“For the Lord disciplines the one He loves.” (Hebrews 12:6)

God’s love comforts us, and it also shapes us.
It guides us forward.
It teaches us what is right.

It corrects us 💛

And in the same way, biblical parenting is not passive.

In the early years (0–6), children are forming their understanding of authority, obedience, and boundaries.
When leadership is unclear during this sensitive period, children don’t feel free, they are left with confusion and uncertainty.

Letting it slide may feel loving in the moment.
But it is our loving leadership builds long-term security.

Correction done calmly and consistently is not rejection.
It is protection 💛
It is formation 🌱
