So it’s spring time and it’s time get those mowers cleaned up and running. This video here is just a point I want to make. There are a few things to clean up on the mower deck and the engine, but nothing major.

This is a 2007 John Deere with 814 hours on it. This is what can happen when you service your equipment regularly. While this mower was replaced it has been used but was well cared for. In this case you can see and hear from the video that it really does make a difference when you properly maintain equipment year after year.

These things are an investment and they are expensive when new. Just like buying a car, you can really see what happens when you take care on them. Don’t be afraid to spend the money now to maintain your equipment. You’ll end up buying a replacement much sooner and you still really need to maintain it. Cost of keeping these going is much better than paying for a new one. At over $4000 for most good mowers now, you can maintain one for 13 years, but if you’re buying a new one ever 5 or 6 years, you’re likely spending more in the long run and still need to service them at some point.
