Davis Bay Library

A little piece of history right in your hand...

Our small library turns over books quickly, but some are too precious to bid farewell. This index card in one of our children's books has checkout dates ranging from 1979 to 2026 (with gaps for the times when our library didn't have an active children's section, only for it to be revived thanks to dedicated volunteers and community members who believed it was worth bringing back).

It's amazing to think of all the young readers who borrowed this book over the years. Some of them may now be parents themselves, sharing books with a new generation.

If you haven't visited in a while, we'd love to see you! Our library is open Saturdays 1-3 pm, inside the Davis Bay Hall. Come browse, borrow a book (no card required), and put your stamp on a slice of history!
