Outdoor learning helps bring lessons to life through hands-on, active, and meaningful experiences. Whether it’s practicing math with nature materials, reading under a tree, exploring science through observation, or building teamwork through outdoor games, learning outside encourages curiosity, creativity, and engagement.

At SOAR, literacy isn’t just a scheduled block in the day. It’s woven into everything we do. From reading instructions during hands-on activities, to sharing stories in a circle, to writing reflections about the day—our students are building their skills in ways that feel natural, meaningful, and connected to their world.
