When we know who we are, and what we want, we do the doing better! Trust me. I'm talking REALLY know who we are...beyond roles and circumstances. I'm also talking what we REALLY want, thinking outside our commitments to others. Now, we show up inside of the doing (strategic priorities perhaps?) soooo much better. Remind yourself that you bring a lot to it, and it aligns with your magic. We go back better. Way to go Directors at - you nailed it. This team...willing to do the good work. Love working with your group. Until next time.

Celebrity-like treatment at TCU Place, thanks Tammy Sweeney! Our Boardroom team had an incredible conversation about emotional intelligence. We took inventory of our own strengths, considered the space others may be in, and worked through some ‘live’ circumstances to coach each other. What a session. Way to go power team! See you next month.
Curious about the Boardroom? Are you a business owner or senior leader? Reach out and I can tell you more. Maybe it’s your turn to find serious momentum with our team.

The Saskatoon Community Clinic shares 5 core values: collaboration, accountability, engagement, equity, and people centered. I did not know their values until right now. What I can tell you though, is when I spent an entire day with the clinic leaders these values were clear. These folks work, lead, decide and make change with these values held close to heart. It was evident.

What an honour to lead you through a day full of collaboration, examining how you ‘team’, and understanding the experience that is inside your clinic services.

Thank you for your care and willingness to step up for yourselves and each other. Until next time.

People have a LOT on the go, both personally and professionally. (stating the obvious)

Most of us are in a role (or roles) that requires a lot from us. While it can be fulfilling to be of service to others, it can also come at a cost to our own wellness if we do not prioritize self-care.

Your coworkers want to be seen. Understood. Appreciated.
One way we can do this is to recognize and talk about the roles we have that might be taxing us when it becomes too much to cope with.

A sick parent.
A child struggling socially or academically.
A spouse navigating depression.
A profession that requires we offer a great deal of service, compassion and support for others.
A friend suffering after a traumatic event needing our support.
(The list is much longer than this)

We are at risk of suffering compassion fatigue if/when we are not balancing our roles with care for self. The good news, we can still offer the care and compassion...assuming we have our own wellness in check.

Time to talk? We can look at private coaching or counseling, or offer a seminar/workshop/keynote for your teams. This powerful and important conversation will enhance awareness, and provide tools for your coworkers to better manage all that is asked of them. We do not need to go it alone.
