Indeed, when God is our Shepherd, we lack nothing. The shepherds and how they care for their flock remind us that God calls us His sheep; if He is our shepherd, what else do we need? Psalm 23 tells us how well secured we are in the Lord. We can rest knowing that God is our gentle Shepherd.
