UKOBACH 🔥

Ukobach is a very tiny daemon with no rank in the Hellish royal hierarchy whatsoever. Instead, Ukobach works in the equivalent of the infernal maintenance industry, and his job is the upkeep of the oil in the boilers that heat the entirety of the underworld. Which -- if we are to believe that He'll is a very warm place -- is a very big job for such a small daemon. Collin de Plancy notes that Ukobach is also occasionally credited with the invention of frying food and fireworks. There are very likely some Asian daemons who would contest that assertion, but it is possible that Ukobach played some part in the development of both of those things, if in nothing but a consulting role.

According to Collin de Plancy, Ukobach's immediate supervisor is Beelzebub or, at the least, the Lord of the Flies has tasked the daemon with his job of maintaining the boilers. As mentioned in my post before, Beelzebub's rank in Hell is quite high -- second to Satan by some accounts -- but it is worth noting that his rank would be far less impressive if he were ruler over a tepid realm. One hopes that Ukobach is given his due credit and appreciation for keeping the infernal fires burning bright. Despite his lack of royal title, Ukobach's efforts reflect on all those of higher rank.

DIVINATION

Beware of taking workers for granted. Nonmanagement workers in retail, construction, service, and other industries may sometimes seem invisible, but those individuals are essential to a smoothly running society. Closer to home, take care to appreciate those individuals working under your leadership.
