In the planning stages of building new multifamily housing, we have a blank slate to work with and so we are considering many angles to help meet the needs of our community in addition to helping address the National Housing Crisis.
It came to our attention that there is a big gap in our housing market for Accessible housing to accommodate individuals living with disabilities.

The folks with The Ability Hub very generously gave time and expertise to consult on specific needs for the community experiencing disability - thank you. We were even able to speak with someone who has firsthand experience and could provide very concrete challenges she and her partner face in their day-to-day lives. It was fascinating and informative and we feel honoured to be part of the conversation! We were also humbled and are aware of our privilege that we haven’t had to consider these needs. It’s something we will not take for granted and a community we hope to serve in the future!

Application is in! Now we wait. In the meantime I was out pounding the pavement this weekend distributing flyers to notify neighbours about our rezoning request for our 🏠 six-plex project. 🤞🏻
