We're very excited to announce that we received funding for a 1-year position to work with us to help develop our community connection. CHMA plays an essential role in local news and independent culture at Mount Allison University and in the Tantramar Area. We have been awarded this funding through the Community Radio Fund of Canada / Fonds canadien de la radio communautaire Radiometres program to develop community programming, help us increase our number of volunteers, extend our presence in the community, and produce content and discussions with community members, while supporting and promoting media literacy.
The successful applicant will engage and inspire current and potential volunteers, develop hyper-local community based content, partner with community organizations to expand our audience and assist in their promotion and outreach, including underrepresented groups, new immigrants and marginalized communities.
