Freedom Week Faculty « The Institute for Liberal Studies 06/05/2020

Since 2014 the Institute for Liberal Studies (ILS) has hosted Freedom Week summer seminars across Canada. These seminars have given students the opportunity to hear classical liberal perspectives on various topics in philosophy, politics, economics, and other disciplines.

As a result of COVID-19 we will be holding this year's seminar online.

Freedom Week online will take place during the week of July 13-17, 2020. Each day will include two lectures and an online social. Students who attend 10 lectures during the week will receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card. As a result of our new format, we are also inviting faculty to view the lectures.

Faculty speaking this year include:

Nimish Adhia (Associate Professor of Economics, Manhattanville College)
Pierre Desrochers (Associate Professor of Geography, University of Toronto Mississauga)
Jessica Flanigan (Richard L. Morrill Chair in Ethics and Democratic Values, University of Richmond)
Abigail Hall Blanco (Assistant Professor in Economics, University of Tampa)
Peter Jaworski (Associate Teaching Professor in Business Ethics, Georgetown University)
