Rally Around Homelessness

Just over 15 months ago, Operation Fresh Start began as a grassroots initiative on a hope and a prayer. It was 100% donor funded before it even fully launched, and today, we’ve got a full year of costs in the bank ready to be deployed in the upcoming year.

The program has $0 overhead, and it has picked up the attention of CAA Magazine, the public school system, public libraries and more.

Several community members are now committed monthly donors. Sasktel Pioneers and many more have kept the liquid detergent and Tide pods coming! 😊

None of this is taken for granted.

Clean laundry is dignity. Clean laundry is healthcare. 🫧

Reflecting back, all we can say is THANK YOU.

“You’re mentally ill, you’re addicted — kill yourself and save us money” is coming.

This is not a drill. 🆘 MAID is expanding to include mental illness as the sole criteria, at the same time involuntary treatment is rolling out.

This isn’t hyperbole. This isn’t sensationalism. Governments are lining up all the pieces.

The irony? It will cost more. It will destroy more. It will absolutely wreak more havoc.
