Red Deer Local Immigration Partnership

Red Deer continues to grow as a diverse, welcoming and vibrant community.
Today, we celebrated a truly special milestone- 122 new Canadians representing 30 countries proudly took their Oath of Citizenship. A proud and life- changing moment that strengthens the sense of belonging and open the door to new opportunities.
We're grateful to Immigration, Refugees and Citizendhip Canada (IRCC) and the Government of Alberta for their continued support to make this meaningful event possible.
A huge thank you to our incredible guests (Judge James Clover, Mayor Cindy Jefferies, Donna Bishop, Kelley Arnold, Odie Padios, Tyler Wallace), to our amazing volunteers, Red Deer Polytechnic, and Juiced Events Inc., for helping us create such a warm, seamless, and memorable welcome.

Newcomer Stories – Voices from Red Deer
This video is part of a series created by the Red Deer Local Immigration Partnership (RDLIP featuring interviews with newcomers living in Red Deer. Participants share their lived experiences of settling into the community, navigating daily life, and finding ways to connect and participate. The series was developed to support understanding, foster belonging, and encourage engagement within the community by centering newcomer voices. By sharing these stories, RDLIP aims to create space for reflection, learning, and stronger connections across Red Deer. This project is part of RDLIP’s ongoing anti-racism efforts focused on listening, inclusion, and community connection.
