A Culture Defined by Our People.
Across our Employee Spotlight series, one question stood out:
How would you describe Bodycad’s culture?
Common themes across our Employee Spotlight interviews:
• A culture that encourages learning, adaptation, and continuous improvement
• A team driven by collaboration and responsiveness
• A shared purpose centered on making a meaningful impact on patients’ lives
At Bodycad, culture isn’t just internal; it shows up in every case, every plan, and every patient-specific solution.
Because when the right people come together with a shared purpose, you redefine what’s possible.

New peer‑reviewed research from NYU Langone evaluates Bodycad patient‑specific cutting guides in osteotomies about the knee.
In a matched cohort of 42 patients, both standard guides and Bodycad patient‑specific guides accurately corrected lower extremity malalignment, but the patient‑specific workflow delivered key advantages:
More reliable alignment correction – Good reliability between planned and achieved hip‑knee‑ankle correction with patient‑specific guides (ICC 0.84) vs moderate reliability with standard guides (ICC 0.62).
Significantly less fluoroscopy time – 43 seconds vs 99 seconds intraoperative fluoroscopy (P = .001), reducing radiation exposure for the surgical team and the patient.
Lower radiation dose – 2.9 mGy vs 7.8 mGy (P = .01).
Comparable cost and OR time – Time‑driven activity‑based costing showed similar total procedure cost (approximately 27K USD in both groups) and no significant difference in operative time, despite 3D planning and patient‑specific instrumentation.
The authors conclude that both techniques “accurately corrected lower extremity malalignment,” with patient‑specific guides achieving this while using less fluoroscopy and with similar overall cost compared with conventional osteotomy.
