I am very proud to announce the premiere of “To Catch a Smuggler / Tropical Takedown” airing this Saturday at 10 p.m. on the National Geographic Channel. A huge thank you to the National Geographic Channel and to my great friend and colleague Lisa Bloch who, for over 15 years, continues to call on me to help bring out the best in new and innovative series.

Caribbean Corridor agents battle against the global co***ne trade. AMO (Air and Marine Operations) assets and HSI (Homeland Security Investigations) seize millions of dollars worth of co***ne from traffickers in Puerto Rico and nearby islands, dismantling criminal networks responsible for pushing drugs to the U.S. and Europe.

The series documents the planning and deployment of coordinated operations to intercept and prevent human and drug trafficking. It features high-stakes action scenes of real-life chases between sea vessels across treacherous waters of the Caribbean, such as the Mona Passage.

I believe the story, the music, and the sound design of the series succeed in grasping one’s attention and exposes the ruthlessness and lawlessness of these nefarious drug cartels, and the need to eradicate them. Millions of dollars, and thousands of lives are at stake: the lives of thousands of AMO officers on duty, and of thousands of people who may otherwise die from drug addiction to co***ne or its derivatives.

Mixing the soundtrack for this series wasn’t for the faint of heart either. High seas weather, winds, communication interference, engines roaring, and other sound contaminants converged to the detriment of dialogue. Yet, as Bloch pointed out, once I performed my magic, virtually any and all subtitles became unnecessary.

I was in New York City this past week end, at the Haunted House FearFest. There were so many great films; smart, funny, witty... and wicked, it was a blast and honor to see the film I contributed to last fall, being featured among so many great productions.

It was a delight to hear this morning that the cast and film won so many awards.

Honored and humbled to win 5 awards at Haunted House FearFest, including Best Horror Comedy Feature and Best Ensemble! The festival had such a great program, it was an honor just to be among the other films.

Truly one of the most fun, interesting, compelling and entertainingly informative series I have had the pleasure and honour to work on, this new series "SUPER ANIMALS” continues airing this weekend on Fox stations nationwide (USA). Look into your Saturday morning programming.

I had the most wonderful visit of two New Yorkers and new friends as we finalized the mix on their great new film to be released soon: eVil Sublet, a dark satire about the lengths Americans go to for affordable housing, by Allan Piper and starring Jennifer Houston.

Thanks Allan and Jen, it was a real treat to have you over, sharing my city, our kindred spirits, this amazing cake Jen made for me and, of course, our inconditionnel love for film story telling, wonderful music scoring and performance and the making of a matching sound track !

And thanks to my new partner in crime, Jean-Francois, Mathieu, Benoit and Laurie from Robin-C, here in my other beloved city, and one of my best fan, Royd, for making this connection happen.
