In 2016, Japanese DJ Yousuke Yukimatsu was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. On the very same day, he walked away from his job in construction and committed to chasing the only thing he wanted to do with whatever time he had left, which was to DJ full-time.

Nearly a decade on, the gamble has more than paid off. Yukimatsu beat the cancer, built a following in clubs across Osaka and Kobe, and earned international recognition for his fearless track selection.
