Prince George Pride Parade
Saturday July 4th
10:30 AM to 12:00 PM Downtown Prince George to Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park
We have exciting news - this year SGFR will be at the front of the 29th annual pride parade! Members of SGFR will be handing out stickers from our firetruck decorated in vibrant and sparkling colours. At SGFR we believe that everyone is welcome, and that all spaces should be inclusive and create a sense of belonging.
Hosted by the Prince George Pride Society, the parade will be "a joyful explosion of colour, community, and unapologetic self-expression. This is more than a parade, it’s a powerful celebration of love, identity, and the vibrant 2SLGBTQIA+ community that continues to thrive in Northern BC."
The event is free, and all are welcome - we are looking forward to seeing you and your family there!

Environment Canada has issued a Tornado Watch for Prince George. Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible.
Significant damage or destruction to infrastructure, homes and the natural environment is possible.
In the event of a tornado, or if a tornado warning is issued for your area: go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows, such as a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet. Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can. As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.
Be prepared for severe weather. If you hear a roaring sound or see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take cover immediately. When out on the water, be prepared for severe weather. If threatening weather approaches make for shore and take shelter immediately. It is particularly dangerous to be on a small craft on the open water when lightning is occurring.
