π±π Grow Your Brain Milestone! ππ±
Today, at Bulkley Valley NBIA, we reached an exciting new milestone in our Grow Your Brain journey! π
Instead of trimming the runners (or "suckers") from our strawberry plants, we chose a different pathβwe're coaxing them and encouraging some of them grow into daughter strawberry plants! πΏπ
Why? Because we're learning the incredible skill of plant propagation!
By creating new plants from the ones we've already grown, we're taking our first steps toward self-sufficiency and a more sustainable, regenerative gardening cycleβwhere today's plants become tomorrow's harvest, and seeds and plants are saved and shared year after year. πβ»οΈπ±
Every new skill we learn strengthens our brains through neuroplasticityβour brain's amazing ability to build new pathways through learning, problem-solving, memory, and hands-on experiences. π§ π
But the benefits don't stop there. As we garden together, we're growing friendships, sharing knowledge, laughing, encouraging one another, and creating a community where everyone has something valuable to contribute. π€πΌ
There's something truly special about watching life grow from your own hands.
Every new daughter plant reminds us that with patience, care, and hope, growth is always possibleβfor our gardens, our minds, and each other. π±π
Here's to building a future where we can continue growing our own food, saving seeds, sharing plants, and passing these skills on to others. One strawberry runner at a time! ππΏ
