📣 Northern Development is proud to announce the launch of its newest funding program, the Canada-B.C. Workforce Tariff Response Forestry Grant – Forestry Training Fund.

Communities built around forestry know how quickly economic shifts can ripple through local businesses, workers and families. The new Forestry Training Fund will support forestry workers affected by tariffs through workforce funding that helps employers recruit, train and retain skilled workers during these periods of economic transition🌲

Focused on practical, timely support, the program is designed to help strengthen workforce resilience and support communities across B.C.

This fund is provided by the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia.

We’ve updated the Fabulous Festivals and Events program to make the process easier for event organizers. Successful applicants will now receive funding upon approval, and reporting is no longer required.

That means less time spent on administration and more time focused on creating memorable events that bring communities together across Northern B.C.
