Our July Tech to Work cohort is finished! Over the past four days, participants built valuable digital skills, earned Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Essentials certificates, and took an important step toward achieving their employment goals. From learning computer basics and navigating the internet to creating resumes and exploring AI tools, they’ve gained practical, real-world skills that can help them succeed in today’s digital workplace.

Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm throughout the program. We can’t wait to see where these new skills take you!

Ryanne is originally from Hartley Bay and brings a strong background in social work, psychology, and criminology. Ryanne is passionate about helping people and is excited to bring that dedication into this new role as Outreach Navigator for Elevate North in Prince Rupert.

Ryanne currently lives in Metlakatla and is a proud parent of two kids, describing them as “super super cute” and sharing that family time is a big priority.

Outside of work, Ryanne enjoys keeping things low-key—reading books and playing games.

Our Peer Support & Community Health Worker Program is designed to prepare you for employment in healthcare, outreach, shelters, community organizations, and support services.

Over the course of this 16-day cohort-based program, you’ll build practical skills while earning 12 industry-recognized training certificates in areas such as:
✅ Workplace Safety & Compliance
✅ Mental Health & Crisis Response
✅ Harm Reduction & Overdose Response
✅ Peer Support Specialization
