Luke23:44-56
It is Good Friday. Good because of what is accomplished, and dreadful in the evil passed upon Emmanuel, God with us, Jesus.
Today we remember God's love poured out upon us. As evil is placed upon God, the Son--as Jesus dies--the curtain of the temple is torn in two; The holiest place is open to everyone. The one who is truly good has borne the weight of all, and been found worthy. The darkness of this day is notable, even as the light will follow, and the night will be swallowed up in victory.
But for today-we weep with those at the foot of the cross.
