Wondering if it’s time for your child to drop a nap?

Here are 4 key signs that they may be ready:

✨ Consistently refusing one or more naps
✨ Nap time starts interfering with bedtime
✨ Waking earlier in the morning
✨ They’ve reached an age where a nap transition is typical

Common Nap Transitions by Age:
🍼 4 months: 5 → 4 naps
🍼 6 months: 4 → 3 naps
🍼 9-10 months: 3 → 2 naps
🍼 16-18 months: 2 → 1 nap
🍼 3-4 years: 1 → 0 naps

Reminder: Every child is different! Before dropping a nap, make sure multiple signs are present—not just one. Transition naps gradually and adjust bedtime earlier if needed to prevent overtiredness.

Learn your little one’s sleepy signals, like yawning, eye rubbing, or fussiness, and aim to start the sleep routine before they become overtired.

📆 Consistency is Key
Babies thrive on predictability. A calming nap-time/bedtime bedtime routine and consistent sleep environment can help signal to your baby that it’s time to rest.
