Federal government to spend $12B on Toronto, Hamilton transit | CBC News The federal government said Tuesday it will spend $12 billion on transit projects in Toronto and Hamilton. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the money will go toward four Toronto transit projects already underway, as well as a light rail transit line set to run through Hamilton's downtown core.
