Echinaceas, also known as coneflowers, offer some of the most gorgeous summer blooms 🐝

Whether you prefer pink, purple, red, orange, or white, these perennials are sure to steal your heart.

Check out some of our care tips to keep them thriving:

1️⃣ Location: Echinacea thrives in the sun! Ensure it gets lots of direct rays each day.

2️⃣ Soil and Drainage: Proper drainage will give these flowers the ideal growing environment. Keep soil moist but not waterlogged.

3️⃣ Watering: While Echinacea is generally drought-tolerant, regular watering is essential to maintaining the happiest and healthiest plant, especially in its early stages of growth.

4️⃣ Pruning: Regularly deadheading spent flowers and trimming back any leggy stems will stimulate new growth and keep your Echinacea fresh and vibrant.

Today we celebrate the beautiful land we call home. And we are proud to say that all our annuals and perennials are grown here in BC, with some grown at our very own facility.

As some of you may know, we operate a small growing centre in Summerland. This amazing GARDENWORKS facility allows our Penticton store to locally produce many of its own annuals, perennials, shrubs, roses, and trees!

A few times a year, a crop of beautiful annuals and shrubs makes its way to all our stores, bringing fresh colour and life to the summer selection. Keep an eye out for a couple of our favourites:

🌸 Celosia Ice Cream Mix with cone-shaped blooms in soft pastels
💙 Lobelia Heatopia Blue, blue flowers that hold up in the heat

Grown, owned, and operated locally, these vibrant blooms are the perfect treat for this Canada Day weekend.
