Small businesses are not built over night. They are built over many glasses of wine, after work eats and endless DMs, keeping the conversation going, sharing ideas and curating the vision we saw for ourselves (which continues to evolve!). ⁣⁣

Trust your gut. Pair up with someone different from you! Joanna and I bring different things to the table and we learn from one another. It fosters great ideas and pushes us outside our comfort zone. ⁣⁣

So, it's been a minute. ⁣
⁣
I wanted to check in and say 'hey'. Thank you for all the kind messages and check-ins from clients and friends alike. We are indeed in strange and interesting times and if you've noticed I've been a bit quiet here, I've simply been.. pivoting.💫⁣

I've worked my ass off for 10 years in a career I'm very fortunate to love, but also have worked tirelessly to build. So, when this world event started to effect us, eventually closing the clinic..⁣
⁣. I just needed a minute. (Read: at least a few weeks, a tasty cocktail of booze, carbohydrates and stress). And to my great relief, so did many of my fellow business owners. Some of us didn't rush into pivoting our businesses because for some we had no idea how. Or if you're sticklers for quality and value like we are, we wanted to make sure the decisions we made were solid. Valuable. Applicable to our clients and patients.👊⁣

The last few weeks involved a nice shift.⁣
♡ Better sleep⁣
♡ Enjoyment and need for hard exercise⁣
♡ Solid nutrition and liquids outside of coffee & booze⁣

Seems simple enough, I know. But opening a new business AND running my practice AND being a friend and partner AND respecting my body and mind feels at some points impossible. 💯

If it feels like I've dropped off the internet a touch this last week it's because I have. I'm checking in a little, but mostly trying to disconnect and enjoy this INCREDIBLY fortunate holiday I'm able to have. (Fortunate, but read: have worked my ass off so I can truly enjoy it). 🌊

I'll be stoked and totally renewed coming back home and look forward to to many amazing things we have in store for you, Ottawa. 👊 @ Red Frog Beach
