Giddy-up, Galaxy Riders! SpaceCamp presents the inaugural Space Cowboy Hobby Horse Competition!

Saturday, August 30, 2025 | 330PM - 430PM

Saddle up and blast off—this ain’t your average rodeo. It’s SpaceCamp’s first-ever Space Cowboy Hobby Horse Competition, where stardust meets the Wild West. Bring your bravest steed (or creature of your imagination) and show us what you’re made of!

The competition consists of two events:

🌟 Best in Show

The judges will evaluate home-crafted steeds for:

Creativity – Is it original, imaginative, and full of personality?

Matching – Does the rider’s outfit complement or match their steed’s style or theme?

Craftsmanship – Attention to detail, quality of construction, and overall presentation.

*Competitors MUST bring their own steed to enter this Best in Show!

🌈 Prance-Off

Each contestant gets 30 seconds to show us what they got and prance with their steed to the music.

Judges will be looking for:

Style & Flair – Is the prance bold? Graceful? Outrageous? We love a good show.

Steed Movement – How well does the steed “move” with the rider? Extra points for synchronized swagger.

Confidence & Presence – Own the space ring. Strut like the space cowboy you are.

*Competitors without their own steed are welcome to borrow one from the Space Stable to enter the Prance-Off!

✨ HOW TO ENTER: meet at the Hilltop Stage @ 3PM Saturday afternoon!

Bring your own mystical steed for the Best In Show Competition: broomstick? unicorn? cosmic chicken? DIY steeds are highly encouraged—think lights, googly eyes, and fringe.

Forgot your steed at home? You can still enter the Prance Off by borrowing one from the Space Stable!

Want to be a judge? Show up at 3PM. Judges will be randomly selected from the crowd!

💫 PRIZES:

In addition to the interstellar fame and eternal bragging rights, 1st and 2nd place winners will be awarded ribbons, bragging rights AND a pair of tickets to our next SpaceCamp event!
