Just steps away from our renovation project in Istanbul’s historic Galata district lies a true architectural treasure: the Kamondo Stairs.
Our project is deeply inspired by the rich cultural heritage surrounding us, and these iconic stairs perfectly capture the blend of history and beauty we aim to honor.
Built in the late 19th century by Abraham Salomon Kamondo, a prominent Sephardic Jewish banker, the Kamondo Stairs were designed to help his grandchildren safely reach the Austrian High School nearby. Their unique zigzag shape prevents injuries from falls, combining thoughtful function with stunning Neo-Baroque and early Art Nouveau design.
Known as the “Lovers’ Staircase,” these stairs connect Bankalar Caddesi and Banker Sokağı and have become a magnet for photographers and visitors worldwide. While filming, we counted five bridal and magazine shoots, plus six brides at the top—especially Muslim Arab brides drawn to the stairs’ enchanting beauty and rich history.
Our renovation project is proud to be part of this vibrant neighborhood, where every corner tells a story. The Kamondo Stairs are more than just a passageway—they’re a living symbol of Istanbul’s layered past and a source of inspiration for our work.

RENOVATION UPDATES ! 🚧😂
Last week, we worked and had fun in the rough construction phase! In the first three photos, I was caught pretending to cut the scaffolding board with a hand saw while the craftsman was welding reinforcements above me. Don’t worry—it was all just for fun, or the craftsman would have gotten really angry! 😅
In the other photos, you’ll see more of the welding process and measurements. The rough construction work is progressing rapidly!
By the way, as always, my outfit that day was from . Combining elegance and comfort perfectly! 👗✨
Last weekend, we worked intensively on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and completed a significant portion of the rough construction phase. Starting a new week on Monday, we’re one step closer to seeing the fruits of our labor! 💪

Galata’da Tadilat Maceramız Başladı! 🛠️✨
Siz de bu yolculuğun bir parçası olun! 🎉
10 days into our Galata renovation journey! 🛠️✨ Just posing with tools for fun—no manual labor here 😉. I’m closely following the process alongside our talented team. Swipe to see all the behind-the-scenes moments! 😄
