Opposition parties criticized Premier Ford for being too rude, saying he should apologize.

The US land border, which has been closed to non-essential travel for more than a year and a half, will open for fully vaccinated Canadians in early November.

Canada has been urging the US to relax restrictions on nonessential travel for some time.
