Corded, Cordless and Mobile Barcode Readers / Scanners 05/31/2023

Barcode scanning has been a part of our history for over 25 years.

The scanner is a key element of any barcode-based system. Making sure it meets the requirements of the application has been a key to our success.

We supply hardware from many different vendors. We review all products, and recommend the models that we feel are the best option for each particular client. At this time, our top recommended barcode readers are all from Zebra and Datalogic.

This is a brief Q&A session about different color options for barcode labels.
For some clients, it is necessary to match a barcode label color to an asset color. Other clients want to use colors as identification of certain classes of physical assets. We experimented with multiple background colors.
This video explains how to design barcode labels:
- With other than white background,
- White stripes on black background, and
- Transparent labels.

An automatic measurement and recording of temperatures, over time, is a requirement for some businesses. Usually, it is to confirm compliance with a predefined set of limits. Temperature loggers use one of three technologies: RFID-FH, RFID-UHF and BLE.
This video briefly describes each approach, its advantages and disadvantages.
Our software solution allows setting the temperatures for high and low limits, and the reporting system will provide a variety of reports, including summary reports, exception reports, or detailed history reports including the identity of the individual taking the readings.

As part of their duties, paramedics carry, and, at times, will need to administer potent drugs.
These drugs require extra care in recording usage, storing and accounting for unused drugs at the end of every shift.
We have implemented a number of medical supply inventory management solutions for first responders. Our systems help track picking up necessary drugs at the beginning of a shift and quickly account for them at the end of a shift.
