Sheridan Textiles Program
The Textiles Studio in the Craft & Design Program at Sheridan College offers an intensive four-year bachelor studio experience to those interested in pursuing professional training in Textiles. Hands-on training prepares students for a broad range of careers including working as designers within the interior textiles and fashion industries, developing textiles for theatre, film and dance, or starting their own studios as independent designers and studio artists.
Alumna joined our second year class yesterday to share her expertise from a decade of working as a textile specialist in the theatre, film & television industry. Caroline shared many tricks of the trade, including “tech” dyeing and aging/breakdown techniques employed by wardrobe teams to make costumes magical on stage and screen - adding # age, dust, dirt, and blood.
