ever since I started working for an electrical contractor I’ve been OBSESSED with turning our wire spools into beautiful pieces of furniture! - now that I’ve finally got my hands on one I can’t wait to turn it into a coffee table! ✨

✨Figured it was about time to reintroduce myself as I feel like we’ve gotten a ton of new followers since the last time I did this! ✨

1. My name is Britany (aka 😎, and I’m the woman behind Rust & Oleander Designs. I started R&O 5 years ago, before I knew what direction I wanted it to go into and abandoned it rather quickly because of it! I relaunched in November with a clear direction of where we want to go, and I’m super excited to finally be doing what I love☺️

2. My husband Rob is our resident heavy lifter, delivery driver, and biggest supporter. He has an amazing eye and has been a key contributor to every piece that’s gone out the door! I’m so lucky to be doing this with him by my side!

3. We’re parents to two fur babies - Joe & Lexi. We’re big supporters of the adopt don’t shop movement! (Both our babes are adopted) it’s so cliche to say they changed our lives! But they really did! Their personality, goofiness, and love amaze us every day.

4. Both Rob & I work in construction full time on top of our work with Rust & Oleander Designs. I work for one of the regions largest Electrical Contractors & Rob & I also own a drywall company! (A Cut Above Drywall) which means we’re usually each working 60+ hours a week! I can’t wait for the day when I can do R&O full time!

5. When we’re not working at our regular jobs or on projects for our customers, you can usually find us with our dogs and my in-laws. Robs a skateboarder, so we love travelling and finding new parks, or heading up north to my family cottage and enjoying the peace and quiet, and some days nothing is better than just laying in bed together binging Game of Thrones or old episodes of New Girl or Schitts Creek!

I’m so excited to continue on with this journey of Rust & Oleander Designs, in the new year we’re going to have even more knitted home decor pieces along with some linen accent pillows, more wall art etc. And I can’t wait to show you! Thank you for joining us on this journey 💕✨
