Ramadan Mubarak to my Muslim brothers and sisters! May we all benefit from this holy month, Inshallah!
To my fellow reverts: Don’t let "Perfectionism" steal your peace.I know that feeling. You’re sitting alone with your phone or a Mushaf, trying to get the sounds right, but that voice in the back of your head whispers: “Am I even doing this right?” It’s a specific kind of impostor syndrome. You want to honor the words of Allah, but the tongue feels heavy, and the rules of Tajweed feel like a mountain you’ll never finish climbing.
But remember this beautiful promise from our Prophet (ﷺ):
"The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Quran will be with the honorable and obedient scribes (angels), and the one who recites the Quran and abstains in it, and it is difficult for him, will have two rewards." (Sahih Muslim)
One reward for the recitation. One reward for the struggle. Islam isn't a religion of "perfect or nothing." It’s a religion of Niyyah (intention) and Jihad (striving). The fact that you are trying—that you are even worried about doing it right—is proof of your sincerity.

Salam everyone! With Ramadan practically here, I am so excited to finally share the feature roadmap for Hidayah Steps AI. 🚀
When I started building this, the goal was simple: create a tool that actually helps us interact with the Quran, rather than just reading statically. I wanted to solve the struggle of reading alone and losing motivation halfway through the month.
This poster outlines the core ecosystem we are launching:
1️⃣ A visual Khatam Map to track your exact progress.
2️⃣ Location-based widgets for Suhoor/Iftar (super helpful for tracking our shifting local Montreal times!).
3️⃣ The Daily AI Challenge where the app actually listens to your recitation.
4️⃣ Lantern Streaks to gamify your good deeds.
I’m pushing hard to get everything polished for you all. Which of these four features do you think you'll use the most this month? Let me know below! 👇🌙
Every Ramadan, I wanted to improve my Tajweed, but practicing alone always left me wondering: Am I actually pronouncing this right? 🤔
I couldn't always find a tutor, so I decided to build a solution. I’ve been developing Hidayah Steps AI—a Quran app that actually listens to your recitation and highlights mistakes in real-time.
With Ramadan just days away, I wanted to share a sneak peek of the app in action! The goal is to turn confusion into confidence.
What is your biggest struggle when it comes to reading Quran consistently? Let me know below—I’m still adding features and would love your feedback! 👇🌙
