🔙 Flashback to 2011 — one of Reliance Construction’s very first projects in Toronto: Aura Condominiums, proudly delivered colloaboratively for and their team.

Aura wasn’t just a major addition to the Toronto skyline — it was a milestone project for our company. Beyond the scale and complexity of the tower, one logistical challenge stood above the rest: keeping the existing loading dock serving 777 Bay St. fully operational throughout construction.

To achieve this, our team implemented a rare and highly coordinated solution at the time: Top-Down Construction. Before any foundations could be excavated, we built a reinforced concrete tunnel supported on structural steel at the street level, spanning the entire depth of the podium. This allowed loading dock operations to continue uninterrupted while excavation and structural work progressed below.

The photos above bring us right back to those early days on site — navigating tight logistics, working around active operations, and coordinating with incredible partners to deliver a landmark building.

Projects like Aura helped shape who we are today: a builder that thrives on complexity, collaboration, and innovative solutions.

Aura n’était pas seulement un ajout majeur au paysage urbain, mais aussi un projet marquant pour notre équipe. L’un des plus grands défis : maintenir en fonction le quai de livraison du 777 Bay St. pendant toute la construction.

Pour y parvenir, nous avons mis en place une solution rare à l’époque : une construction Top-Down, incluant un tunnel en béton armé supporté par une structure d’acier, permettant aux opérations de se poursuivre pendant que l’excavation avançait en dessous.
Ces photos nous replongent dans ces moments où la coordination, l’ingéniosité et la collaboration étaient essentielles.

Aura a contribué à définir notre identité : un constructeur qui excelle dans la complexité et l’innovation.

🏗️ 70 Nicholas – Project Progress Update

Significant strides continue to shape the 70 Nicholas development in Ottawa, with key structural, mechanical, and finishing milestones now achieved across the site. Our team is advancing with precision and momentum as we move into the next phase of construction.

🎉 Topping Off at 908 St. Clair! 🎉

Our 908 St. Clair West project has officially topped off — a major milestone for the entire team!
This achievement is especially meaningful given the site challenges: neighbouring properties sit 20–25 ft higher, requiring 7,000 tonnes of material to build a safe drill platform, a caisson wall at the proper elevation, and a ramp system for the drill rig to descend once work was done. Reaching the top is a true testament to our team’s expertise and coordination.

We’re proud to continue our partnership with on this 12-storey mid-rise in Toronto’s vibrant St. Clair Village. Once complete, the project will feature:

Our renovation and expansion project, completed on behalf of , has officially reached completion! The newly renovated 38,000 sq. ft. dealership now unites both BMW and MINI under one roof, offering a modern and seamless experience for customers. This location is also one of the first in Canada — and the very first in Quebec — to feature the “BMW Retail.Next” concept. Designed by Denommée Architectes, the building features the newest BMW design; a stunning contemporary look with aluminiumpanels throughout, a double height curtain wall façade, and an integrated solar wall that highlights both innovation and sustainability. We’re very fortunate to work alongside Park Avenue and we are very proud to see this project come to life and to have contributed to such a forward-thinking automotive space.

Le nouveau concessionnaire de 38 000 pi² réunit désormais BMW et MINI sous un même toit, offrant une expérience moderne et harmonieuse à la clientèle. Ce site devient également le premier au Québec et l’un des premiers au Canada à présenter le concept novateur « BMW Retail.Next ».
Conçu par Denommée Architectes, le bâtiment adopte la toute dernière signature de design BMW : un style contemporain remarquable avec des panneaux d’aluminium, une façade mur-rideau à double hauteur et un mur solaire intégré, mettant de l’avant l’innovation et la durabilité.
Nous sommes très heureux d’avoir collaboré avec Park Avenue et extrêmement fiers d’avoir contribué à la réalisation de ce projet visionnaire dans le domaine automobile.

🚧 Project Update | Crescent 🏗️

Progress is moving full speed ahead at our Crescent project! The building envelope has been fully completed — an incredible achievement, completed in just 12 working days. 👏

The roof installation is now complete, and boarding is well underway on the first four floors. Next week, ceramic installation begins in all bathrooms, while painting is already in progress throughout the building.

We’re proud to share that the project remains on schedule for delivery in May 2026 — right on track!

Another exciting milestone as the Crescent project continues to take shape.

🚧 Mise à jour du projet | Crescent 🏗️

Le chantier du projet Crescent avance à plein régime! L’enveloppe du bâtiment est entièrement complétée — un accomplissement remarquable réalisé en seulement 12 jours ouvrables. 👏

Le toit est maintenant terminé, et la pose des panneaux de gypse progresse bien sur les quatre premiers étages. La semaine prochaine, nos équipes entameront l’installation de la céramique dans toutes les salles de bain, tandis que la peinture est déjà en cours à travers le bâtiment.

Nous sommes fiers d’annoncer que le projet demeure sur la bonne voie pour une livraison prévue en mai 2026, conformément au calendrier établi.

Une autre étape importante franchie alors que le projet Crescent continue de prendre forme!

🚧 Progress in Motion at Bayview Village Redevelopment! 🏗️

QuadReal Property Group’s Bayview Village redevelopment has reached a remarkable milestone with the completion of its first major concrete pour — marking the beginning of a significant construction phase for this transformative project.

Over 12 hours, a total of 1,500 m³ of 55 MPa concrete was placed using two 57-ft pumps and a tower crane, ensuring consistent and precise distribution across the raft slab. Prior to the pour, the team installed over 350 tones of reinforcing steel, a feat that required weeks of meticulous coordination, detailed planning, and skilled craftsmanship.

This milestone sets the foundation for three new residential towers and retail promenade that will redefine and enhance Bayview Village Shopping Centre.

We extend our gratitude to Limen for their outstanding performance and teamwork, Dufferin for their exceptional concrete delivery, and the entire site team whose hard work and dedication made this achievement possible.

As we prepare to install the next and final tower crane, we’re counting on our partners and suppliers to keep the momentum going as the structure continues to rise.



Le projet de QuadReal Property Group franchit une étape importante avec la réalisation du premier coulage majeur de béton, marquant le début d’une phase clé de ce développement transformateur.
En 12 heures, plus de 1 500 m³ de béton de 55 MPa ont été coulés à l’aide de deux pompes de 57 pi et d’une grue à tour, assurant une distribution uniforme et précise sur la dalle de radier. Avant le coulage, l’équipe a installé plus de 350 tonnes d’acier d’armature, fruit de semaines de coordination minutieuse et de savoir-faire exceptionnel.

Cette étape jette les bases des trois nouvelles tours résidentielles et de la promenade commerciale qui redéfiniront le Bayview Village Shopping Centre.
