Lexum began operating in 1993, with a collaboration with the Supreme Court of Canada to publish the Court’s decisions on the Internet. Since then, Lexum has had the opportunity to provide a wide range of consulting, design, development, hosting and support services for many Canadian legal institutions, including the Courts Administration Service (CAS), Canada's Department of Justice, and the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, to name only a few. Beyond Canada's borders, Lexum also develops solutions and provides long-term support for a number of international organizations, such as the International Telecommunication Union and the International Trade Centre. Lexum’s most well-known undertaking is undoubtedly the services it provides to the Canadian Legal Information Institute (CanLII) with respect to the design, creation and operation of the CanLII website: www.canlii.org.
