Working with professional dancers taught me a lot as a videographer
• Let them dance to a song they LOVE first. You can beat-match or use slow-mo later.
• Shoot wider than you think, footwork matters.
• Film between takes. Those moments are gold.
• Send the script and song in advance so they can rehearse.
• Break the 180° rule sometimes, high shutter look amazing for dance.
• Don’t rush takes. They need full runs to build energy.
• Pay them fairly and respect their time. They practice for hours before the shoot.
Filming dancers is less about directing and more about capturing energy🚀
Was it worth the risk ⁉️
Sometimes getting the shot means taking risks. 💀
For this video, I literally taped my camera to the car window to capture the perspective I wanted. It wasn’t the safest or easiest way, but it gave me a unique angle that made the scene come alive. Filmmaking is all about creativity, experimentation, and pushing boundaries. If you’re afraid to try something new, you’ll never discover the shots that make your work stand out 🚀

Drop 🔥 if he cooked !
Filming in the snow ❄️ comes with the challenge of everything looking flat. To keep your image alive, add contrast by bringing color into the scene—through clothing, accessories, or any element that pops against the white background. 🎨
