Two Canadian obsessions: weather and taxes. This is about taxes. Overly simplified debate in my opinion since it does not take the complexity of the Canadian system of taxation (for example completely ignoring the GST/QST, customs, taxes on real estate, alcohol, ci******es, gas, distortions created by the capital gains exemption, the main residence exemption, RRSP's and other similar measures) yet interesting because of the comments section.
