Tonight, we will be presenting "Café Oran" at Recanati Hall. The show is dedicated to the golden age of Franco-Algerian music, known in France as "La chanson francarabe". This unique musical style combines Algerian Arab music, French chanson, Flamenco, and the influences of Latin-American dances. It was developed in Algeria after World War II and the end of the Algerian War. Jewish composers and performers such as Salim Halali, Line Monty, Maurice El Medioni, Lili Boniche, and Enrico Macias are among the artists who played a significant role in shaping Algeria's folk music forever.

We are honored to have soloist Gabriel Ohayon from Bordeaux, France, and the impressive tenor Shimon Siboni joining us.

I am so thrilled to conduct the Israeli Andalusian Orchestra with its incredibly talented group of young and dynamic musicians led by our Artistic Director, Elad Levi, and the fantastic orchestrations of Liran Shlomo, Oren Lok, Eyal Rich and Ilya Kuzinets.

Get ready for a colorful and exciting performance!

Tonight at 20:30!
