What a year — and what a gift this training has been. Compassionate Inquiry is more than a therapeutic approach; it invites a deeper way of being with others while gently turning curiosity inward toward our own healing and self-compassion.
I’m not yet sure which path comes next, but I’m grateful to have this one in the books. Thank you and for such a meaningful and grounding course.

It was an honour to listen to the Black men in the room. What unfolded was a space of shared empathy, authenticity, and collective empowerment. It’s essential to acknowledge the hardships, while also naming the many beautiful ways men show up for one another. That evening was a powerful example of this, and a reminder of how necessary it is to continue creating more spaces for BIPOC men.
Deep gratitude to the speakers:

Thank you as well to the incredible team at .ca for hosting with such care, and for weaving together play, education, and community so thoughtfully. This is a space I have referred many times over and continue to encourage families to experience.

Finally, to all the men who attended: thank you for welcoming us into your space and for trusting us with your lived experiences.

La santé émotionnelle appartient non seulement aux conversations de santé mentale, mais aussi aux conversations de santé s3xuelle chez l’humain. It is all connected. The extension of learning and practicing our awareness when it comes to our emotions and behaviours can enhance our experience in healthier parenting relationships with our children. Merci à tous les parents qui ont participé à cet atelier. Merci Carrefour Familial Cloverdale Multi-Ressources de nous inviter.

Last week, I was nominated by my dear friend and community partner Dana — and, funny enough, we nominated each other.
After nearly 15 years of working, creating, crying, laughing, and showing up together, this moment meant so much.
People often say we do the work without needing recognition — but as a BIPOC/SWANA woman, I’m learning the power of taking space and celebrating our impact. We weren’t raised to take up space. We were told to stay quiet, be good girls, and so on. Not anymore.
A heartfelt thank you to the TDC Foundation/Fondation TDC, and to Gavin and his family, for creating such an impactful award in her honour. This year, this nomination carried even more meaning in memory of my dear uncle. I stand on the shoulders of women like Teresa — women who led with compassion and courage.
To and — you deserve every bit of this recognition. You fight tirelessly so people can eat with dignity, no matter what stands in your way. I’m honoured to celebrate you and witness all that you do for our community.

To all the BIPOC kids and young dreamers: your voice matters. And if you don’t see your place, create it — through art, activism, research, or simply by being your whole, glorious self.
I shyly do this for my inner child, but I’ll proudly take my flowers while continuing to grow and serve my community. As uncomfortable as it can be at times, lol.
