📊 A test score tells us how a student performed on a task.
It does not tell us how hard they worked to get there.
For some students, especially those with dyslexia, language difficulties, attention challenges, or other learning differences, every assignment requires extra effort that may never show up on a report card.
Behind a grade might be intervention sessions, extra practice at home, rereading directions, working memory demands, slow processing speed, tears, frustration, and the determination to keep going when learning feels harder.
