FREEEMAN has been in an immense period of life changes. His first release, playing seemingly non-stop on the Montreal club circuit, and on top of it all – recently married. We are very grateful to share in this moment with him to release “Paris Bébé”, a truly wicked debut.
As he shares, “On the creative front, signing my first single release with SLAPPED Records alongside a roster of so many incredible artists feels completely surreal. A year ago, I never would have imagined I’d be standing exactly where I am today. It is proof that perseverance, authenticity, and a pure love for the craft eventually pay off. I am so ready for an amazing summer ahead—sharing these moments on the dancefloor, playing my music live, and connecting with everyone through the sound.”

This track is many things wrapped into six minutes – a club unifier, a rhythmic meditation, a minimalist philosophy, and a dancefloor masseuse. That’s what makes it a fan favourite.
“It’s Not Just Music came from a mindset I’ve been carrying for years through everything surrounding the underground scene. The vocal saying “𝒾𝓉’𝓈 𝓃𝑜𝓉 𝒿𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝓂𝓊𝓈𝒾𝒸… 𝒾𝓉’𝓈 𝒶 𝓇𝒾𝓉𝓊𝒶𝓁, 𝒶 𝓂𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉, 𝒶 𝓇𝑒𝓋𝑜𝓁𝓊𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃” really captures the energy behind the track. For me, electronic music has never only been about partying or DJing, it’s about connection, culture, community and creating spaces where people can truly express themselves.
The track was produced between sessions at my home studio in Québec City during a period where I was heavily involved in events, bookings and creative projects.
