Early chair, foggy gates, legs already burning but the heart is so full.

Dialing in the line on inspection, visualizing every turn, every split-second decision.

Then it’s go time! Blocking gates, chasing hundredths, leaving it all on the course.

Back to the car for the mom-on-a-mission refuel: homemade sandwiches, bananas, bars, and Sum Good in the side pocket, obviously.

Because ski race days aren’t glamorous, they’re gritty....wet gloves, frozen toes, and kids who keep coming back for “one more run.”
