Accounting Enrollment Rebounds: Lessons for Canada's Talent Pipeline.
New U.S. data is signaling a meaningful shift in the accounting talent landscape, one that Canada cannot afford to overlook. According to reporting by Accounting Today, citing the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, undergraduate accounting enrollment in the United States rose 8.9% in spring 2026, marking the third consecutive year of growth. More than 281,000 students enrolled in four-year accounting programs, continuing a trend that saw increases of 12.7% in 2025 and 4.8% in 2024.
