On this cold winter day, thinking of one of our amazing projects we had the pleasure of working on with one of our favourite clients.
Spring is around the corner!
Who else is in love with this backyard? 🙋🏼♀️

There’s something undeniably magical about summer when it comes to design. I find myself spending so much time in the kitchen and outdoors, entertaining in the backyard. No matter the occasion, everyone always ends up gathered in the kitchen—it’s where connection happens. It’s about food, comfort, warmth, and shared moments.
For me, that space has to feel like a sanctuary. While my bedroom has always been my personal retreat, I believe your entire home should offer that same sense of peace. The kitchen, especially, is where I sit by the window, reflect, create, and reconnect with myself. It’s the heart of my home—and a well of inspiration.

When I walk into a living room, one of the first things I notice is the coffee table—and more specifically, the books on it. There’s something about a well-chosen stack that immediately tells you who lives there, what inspires them, or what kind of stories they hold close.
Coffee table books have this quiet way of anchoring a space. Whether it’s a bold cover on architecture, a worn spine on interior design, or something playful and unexpected, they invite curiosity. They give people a reason to slow down and feel the room, not just see it.
I love pairing them with something textured or sentimental—like a small bowl I picked up at a local market or a candle that carries a familiar scent. Those are the layers that turn a styled space into a lived-in story.
Design isn’t just visual—it’s emotional.🥰

They say there’s a method to the madness—but when it comes to design, I’d argue the opposite.
Clients often ask where my inspiration comes from, and the truth is, it starts with conversation. Not just about style or colour palettes, but about life. I want to understand what fulfills you, what excites you, what motivates you—mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Because for me, design isn’t about trends; it’s about people.
A home is a sanctuary. Yes, colours and fabrics matter—but on their own, they’re just materials. It’s the story behind them that gives them meaning. Every shade reveals something about how you feel; every texture evokes an emotion. To choose the right ones, I have to know who you are.
That’s why the consultation is everything. It’s the heartbeat of the design process—the moment where inspiration truly begins.

There’s always one space in a home that becomes your sanctuary — the place where the world softens and you return to yourself.
For me, it’s my bedroom. 💛
It’s warm, friendly, and inviting… the way the light wraps around the room in the morning feels like a quiet hug. It’s where I rest, dream, and feel most at peace. I designed it to feel like a retreat — with soft textures, grounding colours, and little personal touches that remind me I’m safe and held.
When I create for my clients, I always say ‘make at least one space in your home uniquely yours.’ Maybe that means choosing a palette that calms your spirit, a throw that feels like comfort, or lighting that helps you exhale. It doesn’t have to be grand — it just has to feel like you.
Your sanctuary is already waiting — sometimes, it just needs a little love to come to life.

Summer always shifts something in me. The way the light moves through a room, the vibrancy of color, the feeling of possibility—it all fuels the way I design. ☀️
When I step into a space, I’m not just looking at walls and windows. I’m imagining what could be. I think about how natural light will dance across a living room, how a bold floral arrangement might breathe life into a corner, how a family might gather here on a warm July evening, laughter spilling out onto the patio.
Designing a summer home isn’t just about the aesthetic—it’s about potential. It’s about creating a place that feels inviting, joyful, and alive with future memories. A space that surprises even the client with what’s possible—a wedding one day, a graduation, a growing family. That’s what inspires me most: not just the beauty of the now, but the magic of what’s still to come.
