I wanted to incorporate a feature accent wall that combined interest through bold colour and repeated pattern as this is a wall you see from the living space and when you walk into the basement

Over the past several weeks I took this concept from inspiration, to drawings, to taping out the layout and finally to install (swipe through for each step of the way)
•
I can’t forget the painting process and what a process it was (coats on coats)! This Salamander green by Benjamin Moore is a favourite of mine (and judging from all the messages I got a favourite of yours too!)
•
It feels so good to get this project done and seeing this office/gym space start to come together
•
Sometimes simple moulding can take your accent wall to a whole new level! 💕

Jen reached out to me to help her with a long wall in her living room that was a constant pain point for her and her family in how to best decorate and fit into the design

With some creative space planning we were able to provide an updated layout and design plan to best utilize the full living area and create optimal flow for this hub of their home

Even the smallest addition to a space can have a big impact 💃
•
I came across this rattan and teak stool a Homesense a couple weeks ago (I was in serious Homesense withdrawal!) and knew I needed to have it, but didn’t have an exact spot in mind for it
•
I’m a firm believer that if you love a piece you’ll always find a spot for it!
•
This little stool has already brought so much function to this space - a foot rest for lounging, an additional seat, a side table for drinks, and a chic little feature to tie into the natural oak finishes I have in our living room
•
