Gusta Cooking Studio offers cooking classes, baking workshops, dessert tasting events, commercial kitchen rental in Markham, plus ingredients and kitchenware.
Every Sunday, the same table, the same steamer baskets arriving one after another, the same pot of Pu‘er or Tieguanyin refilled without asking. Dim sum is not always about the food, but who you share it with.
In this class, two siu mai from two different Chinese traditions: Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai, the Cantonese classic. Sticky Rice Siu Mai, the northern-style one filled with glutinous rice, lap cheong, and mushroom. Both made from scratch, both folded by hand.
