🎓 NFMC Awards $39,000.00 in Scholarships to Local High School Graduates! 🎓
Every year, the Nawiinginokiima Forest Management Corporation (NFMC) proudly awards ten $3,000.00 scholarships to graduating high school students residing within our management area who are heading into full-time post-secondary trades, college, or university programs. This year was a first for NFMC, as we received a record number of over 40 applicants. Consequently, NFMC’s Board of Directors selected an additional three applicants for 2026, bringing the total to thirteen $3,000.00 scholarships awarded, for a grand total of $39,000.00!
This year, NFMC's General Manager, Carmelo Notarbartolo, Public Relations & Marketing Coordinator, Brett Redden, and NFMC Board Director, Grant Goodwin, presented NFMC scholarships during graduation ceremonies in Marathon, Manitouwadge, and Terrace Bay.
