⛰️ With only a few spots left, the brand-new "Plein Air in the Park" summer program is designed to support painters who already have some foundational experience and are ready to expand their skills by working directly from nature.

🖌️ Participants will be guided through plein air practices to create a painted masterpiece, learning how to work efficiently in outdoors environments.

In partnership with Fraser Health MHSUS - Recreation Therapy, City of Maple Ridge presents The Journey, an awareness public art show highlighting the recovery stages of mental health experience 🧠🌱.

ℹ️ Submissions for this project are open until August 31 and can be dropped off at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre.

Turn everyday items into unique works of art! 👕🌀

🤩 Wearable Wonders, a hands-on, style-filled summer camp for ages 6 to 10, transforms t-shirts, tote bags, and colourful beads into create personalized fashion pieces.

‼️Students are required to bring a solid white or light-colored cotton t-shirt to transform into a special masterpiece.

✍️ There's still time to sign up for Plein Air painting sessions at Allco Park in Maple Ridge - hosted by The ACT Arts Centre on July 16.

🖌️ Ideal for experienced painters, this one-day workshop teaches participants the essentials of plein air painting, including how to work quickly and effectively in outdoor settings to create a unique watercolour artwork.

🖼️ On July 11th and 25th, exhibiting artists from the Fraser Valley Chapter Federation of Canadian Artists will lead free drop-in painting demos on The ACT front steps.

From 10am to 11:30am ⏰, visitors are invited to watch and chat with the artists and experience the enchantment of art-in-the-making up close.

Afterwards, visit The ACT Gallery to explore its latest exhibition, A Brush With Poetry, featuring artwork inspired by song and poetry.
