I am playing at the Pembina Arts Festival on March 21st in Barrhead Alberta at 9 PM . I’ll be playing 5 songs which is ideal with my improving frozen shoulder. I’ve played music in Edmonton and Alberta many times throughout my life. Beginning at the University of Alberta way back in 1982 or 83, then opening for The Blasters at Macewen Hall as part of a western Canada swing(we also played with them in Regina). This was with the Rockin Edsels. As a member of the Last Wild Sons, I played the UofA in the nineties, the North Country Fair in Lesser Slave Lake, ( The South Country Fair in Fort McLeod), and an opening spot for The Beat Farmers in Edmonton, (also played with them in Regina). This was a band that was on the Letterman Show. In the Rockin Edsels Edmonton folks used to often travel down to Calgary to see us play at the National Hotel. Always packed out for the weekend. Now I live here. Looking forward to playing and being a part of a festival that has taken a lot of work to make it a mainstay. Frozen River will be one of my songs. I may play some slide on my electric if that works. Hope to see some folks there if they can make it
