On January 25th, our 583 Drill Team participated at their first Drill Competition since before Covid!

They have been practicing diligently every Friday for the competition, sacrificing their free time for our squadron. The team continues to learn and grow through their drill, dress, and deportment, and we can't wait to see their newly developed precision routine at ACR! Congrats to those who participated in the competition, and keep up the hard work!

On Tuesday, January 13th, our squadron's flag party cadets hosted their annual tryouts. After months of practice, these cadets were evaluated on things such as their drill, dress, and deportment. During these tryouts, we got to see the growth and progress from our fellow cadets. The flag party is considered the most prestigious flight and has high standards.

Thank you to all the cadets who tried out, and congratulations to the cadets who made it into the flag party!

On November 11th, 2025, cadets from 583 Coronation Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, along with cadets from 354 Invincible Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Squadron and other organizations such as Scouts Canada paraded at the Pitt Meadows Cenotaph to commemorate those who have served our country and fought for the values we hold dear.

Captain Middelveen, Lt Piddock, Flight Corporal Ji, Leading Air Cadet Punna, and another Air Cadet laid wreaths to represent the Air Cadets, Army Cadets, and other organizations. Wreath laying is a decades old tradition to show respect to those who have given up their lives to protect and serve.

Lest we Forget.
