The Attendance Centre Facilitator position is a permanent, full-time position based at the program office in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. This is NOT a work-from-home (WFH) or hybrid position.
The Attendance Centre offers Structured Day Supervision for youth in-crisis or at-risk of making unhealthy lifestyle choices. It provides safe, structured environments for youth development.

This is a casual position working weekday afternoons and weekend mornings.
Working remotely from their home office in British Columbia, the Staffing Office Clerk recruits, screens, on-boards and schedules qualified casual/on-call employees, who will be cross-trained in multiple programs, to fill short-term absences within WJS Canada's social services programs.
In Your Role You Will
• Work with human resources to increase the success of our new staffing office!
• Primary contact for employees reporting planned/unplanned work absences (ex. illness, emergency, etc.)
• Source, contact and schedule casual relief staff to fill work shifts, using HRIS, Ceridian Dayforce and scheduling/bidding software and proper call-in procedures according to the union agreements (BCGEU, CUPE).
• Assist in obtaining mandatory security clearances (MCFD, HUB and criminal record checks)
• Recruit and pre-screen Residence Workers, Youth Workers and other social services applicants to build our casual staffing pool
• Maintain on-call list, relief staff records, seniority data and work availability.
• Assist the BC HR Manager in developing procedures for standardized employee orientation program.
• Review/audit timesheet records.

As An Ideal Candidate You Possess
• High School Diploma, GED or Diploma/Degree in a related field (i.e. human resources, social work, medical office administration, office administration, etc.)
• MINIMUM of 3 YEARS staffing, Human Resources, recruitment or related experience - payroll administration, Nursing Unit Clerk, etc.
• Experience working within collective agreements
• Previous experience using HRIS, Applicant Tracking Software, HR/payroll and scheduling/bidding software experience a definite asset (Njoyn, Ceridian Dayforce)
• Prepare, code & submit for approval invoices, bills, expense claims, etc. according to established timelines.
• Complete and submit payroll time sheets, leave requests and other personnel forms.
• Create program reports, documentation and written communications.
• Coordinate and schedule social services drives for families in within the local area, etc.
• Maintain petty cash fund.
