🙌 What an incredible day!
Shoutout to Mary-Anne for stepping up and making a real difference — she prepared and donated 10 Chicken Noddle homemade soup cups to our clients at Fraser Valley Addictions Hub & Recovery, and we couldn't be more grateful. 🍵✨
But that's not all — was truly a team effort:
🧩 Eline set up an interactive puzzle for a fun and engaging activity!
🌟 Diana prepared beautiful positive affirmations cards to uplift and inspire!
This is what community looks like. One meal, one puzzle, one kind word — every little act of generosity counts on the road to recovery.
Want to make a difference like Marie-Anne, Eline, and Diana? Reach out to us — there are so many ways to help! 💪

Reflection from Jessica, MOA — Addictions Treatment Program
“Every person is someone.
Someone’s child.
Someone’s sibling.
Someone’s parent.
Someone’s friend.
No one’s worth disappears because they struggle with addiction.
A lot of people living with addiction have gone without the support, stability, safety, or understanding they needed long before substance use ever entered the picture. Behind every addiction is a story most people never hear — trauma, grief, isolation, poverty, mental health struggles, loss, or simply trying to survive.
Healing rarely begins with judgment.
It begins with being seen as human again.
People deserve individualized care, compassion, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives at their own pace and in their own way.
Everyone deserves the chance to heal.
Everyone deserves the chance to be seen beyond their worst moments.”

There’s som**hing meaningful about caring for the outside of a home when you finally feel safe enough to slow down and breathe again. 🌱
Many of the individuals in our transitional housing program have spent years in survival mode. Gardening, mowing the lawn, planting flowers, and taking care of a shared space may seem small to some people, but for many of our clients, it becomes part of rebuilding routine, confidence, responsibility, and peace within themselves.
Research has shown that gardening and time spent outdoors can help reduce stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression while improving overall mental well-being and self-esteem.
As the seasons change, we are reaching out to our community for support with:
🌿 Lawn mowers (in good working condition)
🌿 W**d whackers
🌿 Topsoil
🌿 Flowers, plants, and garden supplies
These donations help our clients maintain the homes they are grateful to have and create outdoor spaces that feel peaceful, welcoming, and therapeutic.
If you have any items you no longer need and would like to donate, please reach out. Pick up may be available.
